The title is right out of the Old Testament book, song of Solomon. the piece began as solo violin and then I improvised an oud part around it, thinking old world, thinking middle east, thinking where it all began in a way.

I used to think of myself as a musician but as time goes I think of myself more a sound maker.

I've always come to music with some degree of struggle, at times worrying I was 'tone deaf' and often going to great lengths to confirm that I wasn't. I'm not sure that ever mattered.

I play at several instruments, lap steel guitar and others, modular synth, tape loops and Pure Data.
