Out of Focus was made in the spirit and for the 2014 RPM Challenge (www.rpmchallenge.com) internet event. The energy was largely improvised acoustic pieces on 6/12-string guitars, acoustic and electric violins, oud, banjo and smittering of vocalizations. Though the title was on my mind for the record for quite a bit, the end result feels rather focused to me, maybe one of my best outings. Thanks for listening.

I've always come to music with some degree of struggle, at times worrying I was 'tone deaf' and often going to great lengths to confirm that I wasn't. I'm not sure that ever mattered.
